project    - Bluone

location  - Sector 136, Noida

completion : Jan - 2022

Project brief -  BluOne is a multinational ecosystem of conscious businesses across healthcare, publishing, research, design, education, technology, and marketing running its operations in a G+8 commercial building in sector 136.  The ground floor features a dynamic cafeteria with raised seating platforms, terracotta tiles, wooden elements, and a touch of blue. The first floor serves as an office space with muted tones, consistent use of terracotta, wood, and blue, and a kinetic installation at reception. Floors 2-8 follow a cubicle layout with angular desk arrangements to enhance flow and reduce monotony. The 8th floor, "The Red Floor," is a creative workspace with open, interactive areas designed to foster communication and inspiration.

Design process - The project stands out for its thoughtful approach to commercial interior design, seamlessly blending aesthetics with functionality. The idea was to not create a sterile, corporate space. By using a palette of terracotta, bricks, and wooden elements, we’ve created a warm and timeless environment. Each floor tells its own story while maintaining a cohesive design language, showcasing our ability to play with materials and create resounding spaces. This was such a positive design choice, that despite being the first building in that corporate sector to have this approach, the new offices in the surroundings, followed similar suit in their interior design. This is design that inspires, engages, and elevates.

Design description

The ground floor is largely occupied by the cafeteria, which was designed in a way that allowed a free flow, with raised platforms for seating where major interactions take place. Terracotta tiles, wooden elements, plants, and hints of blue, as a nod to BluOne, are used on this floor. The cafeteria ceiling was done with twisted bricks to give a more dynamic feel.

The first floor is an office space. The entrance reception area is adorned with wooden seating, and a kinetic installation. While the colour tones are more muted like greys and whites, the terracotta tiles, wooden elements, and blue colours are consistent throughout the floors.

The RCM floor is the typical layout for floors 2- 8. With the spaces being designed for cubicle workflow, meeting rooms and offices. Instead of a linear arrangement, we opted for an angular positioning of the desks, in order to maximise space, reduce monotony, and allow for easier access and circulation.

The 8th floor is a design workspace, titled The Red Floor. The idea was to create a space that allowed free-flow of creativity, and interactive spaces that break through rigid patterns The space plays with multiple levels, corners, and unique seating spaces that creates interest and inspiration. Open work-space helps with communication and breaking the hierarchy.
